Athletics Carnival 2019

First apologies for unclear permission note. The carnival is booked in for TUESDAY 18th June.

Could adults or high school students who are able to help at the Athletics Carnival please return notes to school by Thursday this week.

Where: Kerynn McCann Athletics Track, Beaton Park, Wollongong

When: Tuesday 18 June 2019. Term 2 Week 8.

Transport: On Tuesday morning all children come to school and buses will transport them to the athletics track. After the carnival buses will return children to school before the afternoon school buses.

Time: 8.45am roll call at school.  8.50am buses leave.

Cost: $7 per child to cover bus and sports ground use.

Helpers: Adult help is needed at all the events. If you are able to help as an official could you please fill in the slip and return it to your child’s teacher before 6 June.

Spectators: Beaton Park charges $1.00 for spectators. Please include this with your child’s note if you are attending but not returning an officials form.

Bring: Lunches: Children need to bring own lunch, recess, munch and crunch and snacks. No lunch orders available. No canteen.

Provide children with plenty to drink – large labelled drink of water is the best.  

Do not pack 2 children’s lunches in 1 bag as age groups move around separately.

Clothing: Children should wear school sports tracksuit with shorts underneath. Also wear school hat and ample warm clothing. Please run in sports shorts, then put tracksuit back on. Please ensure every article of clothing is labelled with your child’s name. Extras: Children may like to bring something small to sit on.

As each person’s own rubbish goes back into their bag they might like to bring a small container for this purpose. Or better still make it a Nude Food day.

Dismissal: Buses will return children to school in time for afternoon school buses. Children leaving with parents should indicate this on their child’r permission note and on the day need to inform their class teacher before leaving.
