Mission Star

We would like to congratulate Clara Dray for receiving the Mission Star Award.

As a disciple of Christ,

Clara is a living example of our school’s mission.

To live by following the examples and teachings of Jesus.

and

To love as Christ taught us. By loving God, our neighbours, ourselves and all of Creation.

Clara demonstrates our school values of Inclusivity, Compassion and Hope.

The nominations from students and staff describe Clara as someone who:

  • Consistently demonstrates respectful, responsible and safe behaviour
  • Follows the school value of inclusivity by welcoming others to play with her and shows kindness to all
  • Demonstrates our school value of hope by having a positive outlook on life. She can find the good in any situation
  • Demonstrates our school value of compassion by holding the door open for others. She is always ready to help anyone in need

Receiving the Mission Star Award is a proud achievement. Anyone is able to nominate a member of our school community for this award. Parents will be provided with an opportunity to nominate someone to receive this award later this term through a Google Form shared through Compass. We look forward to receiving some nominations from parents.

Feast of the Sacred Heart

7th June 2024

The Feast of The Sacred Heart of Jesus takes the physical heart of Jesus as representation of His Divine love for humanity. It is always celebrated on the Friday 19 days after Pentecost Sunday. As we celebrate the Feast of the Sacred Heart, we are reminded that nothing can separate us from the enduring love of Jesus Christ. The Sacred Heart of Jesus is so powerful, and yet it can be far too easy to forget that divine love flows into our daily, ordinary lives, lifting up our heavy burdens into the loving embrace of Jesus’ love.

Our Sisters have heard a special call and dedicate themselves to the embodiment of Jesus in our world today. Together, we strive to help those in need with the same compassion and open heart that Jesus first showed us.

Today we were able to thank our Sisters for their ministry to the Parish and faith development of the school and the children. We are very lucky to have them here with us and we appreciate all that they do. The school captains presented a card and flowers to the Sisters to show our appreciation and the staff shared a beautiful morning tea after mass with Fr Mark and our Sisters.
