PRINCIPALS MESSAGE
Prayer of Aboriginal People
(For the Pope's visit to Australia in 1986, Aboriginal people composed the following prayer for the ceremony in Alice Springs. This prayer now is prayed by many Catholic Aboriginal groups around the country.)
Father of all, you gave us the Dreaming.
You have spoken to us through our beliefs.
You then made your love clear to us in the person of Jesus.
We thank you for your care. You own us.
You are our hope. Make us strong as we face the problems of change.
We ask you to help the people of Australia to listen to us and respect our culture.
Make the knowledge of you grow strong in all people, so that you can be at home in us and we can make a home for everyone in our land.
Amen.
Dear Parents
On Monday Ms Phillips led a liturgy for NAIDOC Week which officially begins next week. The Liturgy involved our leaders, Year 5 and Kindergarten. Our Kindergarten sang the chorus of a hymn which lifted the whole school to sing together. Thank you Ms Phillips for organising such a meaningful and well-organised event.

We have come to the end of another very busy term and I would like to thank our staff for all their hard work and commitment to our wonderful school. I thank you, our parents for your involvement in the different ways you support our school. On behalf of the staff we appreciate everything that you do.
And lastly to our students who are the reason for all of us being at St Patrick’s - have a wonderful break and I look forward to a great Term 3.
Yr 4 Gardening
I went and joined Year 4 in the garden on Monday. In the half hour that I was there I learnt so much. The children are so lucky to be learning about the plants and the environment from Mr Mattas. Please take the time to go and have a look at the work that is being done in our wonderful garden.

Reports
The Semester 1 Reports will be sent to you digitally at the end of this week. As we are using COMPASS for many of procedures in the office and the classroom – you will be able to download your child’s report. You would have had login and password when you booked in for interviews at the end of Term 1.

As part of your agreement at enrolment we ask that your child’s hair be neat and tidy. I am noticing that there are a few children with hair over their face. Can I please ask that you honour the commitment you signed and have your child please return to school next term with a sensible and neat and tidy haircut?
Good health and blessings for a great break.
Mrs Anne Duggan
