PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
Feast of the Sacred Heart
It was wonderful to gather with Sr Miriam, Sr Rita and Sr Vitoriana, Fr Mark and the wider parish community to celebrate the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus last Friday. This feast is especially important to the sisters as this is the order in which they are members. The sisters play an important role in the parish, not only fulfilling administrative duties but most importantly the sister’s main work is to pray for us, our parish, our local community and beyond. Thank you for all that you do for us Sisters!
We joined together after Mass to enjoy each other’s company with a lovely morning tea.
TTFM
A big thank you to everyone who completed the Tell Them From Me parent survey earlier this term. I look forward to sharing the results of this with the broader school community early next term.
Athletics Carnival
We were blessed with stunning weather for our Athletics Carnival on Friday of Week 8. The students reported having a ball with their friends while participating in field events and some amazing house cheers! Our Year Six leaders assisted all students in their colour house get into the spirit of the day and cheer on their peers.
I would like to recognise and thank the teachers for all their behind the scenes preparation for the day, setting up and packing and everything in between. Thank you to the sports committee members, Mrs Cudina, Miss Elchaar, Mr Hoctor, Mr Mindzes and Mr Mattas. A big thank you also to our wonderful parent volunteers, without which we would not be able to run the day. Days like these are where fond memories are made. We look forward to another great day in 2026.
Age champions received their medals at today’s Excellence Awards Assembly.
Netball Gala Day
I was proud to be able to send 7 teams to our recent netball gala day (a great number for a small school). Despite the rainy weather early in the day, the students enjoyed playing with their peers against other schools in our region. I was pleased to hear many positive reports from parents and other school staff on the behaviour of our students. Thank you to our many parent volunteers who gave up their time to look after our students and enable them to participate in the day. Thanks also to the teachers in attendance at the event.
Movie Night
It feels like a long time ago now, however recently St Patrick’s held one of our famous ‘Movie Nights’ at Hoyts Warrawong. Excitement was in the air prior to the movie starting with some sweet treats adding to a fantastic night.
Thank you to Mr Hoctor for your planning and preparation that makes these nights so successful. A portion of the ticket prices goes towards celebrating our Year 6 student’s farewell dinner at the end of the year.
Calendar for Term 3
Please see attached the school calendar for Term 3. Please note that we do our best to capture all events across the term, however if there are any changes or additions we will communicate these with you via COMPASS.
I wish you all a happy and safe holiday period and we look forward to seeing the students back at school in Term 3.
Kind regards
Mr Mitchell Elks
