South Coast Swimming Carnival

March 5, was a delightful day for the ducks and a wet day for the South Coast Swimming Carnival. 20 delightful St Patrick’s students represented our school very well. Some, very busy, others using extreme patience, many managing nervousness very well but all performed to their best and should be very pleased with themselves.

Thank you to Mr Calleja, Mr Marras Scerri and Mr Spinelli for representing our school as officials and sharing the timekeeping job. 

Congratulations to the swimmers who qualified to try out for the Diocesan team Monday March 9. They are the  junior girls relay team (Makayla G. Liana, Taylah & Ella M), Makayla in 8 years 50m freestyle and Ella M in 10 years 50m freestyle. 

Well done girls at the Diocesan trials. The top 2 finishers go on to MacKillop swimming trials. Our junior relay came in 5th, Makayla 4th and Ella M 6th. 

Unfortunately we cannot always win but, we can fortunately, always enjoy having a go.
