KNIT FOR A NEED
During the colder months many individuals warm themselves up by wearing scarves and beanies or snuggling up under a blanket. Some individuals struggle to have even these basic items in winter. So I am inviting students (and families to "Knit for a Need." Students are invited to knit (or crochet) scarves, beanies or squares for a blanket. All they need is a pair of knitting needles (or a crochet hook) and some wool. (These can be bought from Lincraft or the Reject shop.)
On Tuesday and Wednesday at lunch time I will hold a knitting club where students can learn how to knit or crochet together. If anyone has any spare wool or knitting needles that they are no longer using, please feel free to donate them to the school so students can make use of them for this community initiative.
If you have any questions please email catriona.neilsen@catholiccare. dow.org.au (Mrs Catriona Neilsen, Pastoral Support Worker)
