PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Dear Parents
I hope you are all well. Some of you may be wondering why I haven’t been at school over the last few days. I fell backwards over a concrete car barrier and broke my wrist and a bone in my leg. All is healing well!
Kindergarten 2021
The term has started well with the school being able to have a scaled back playgroup over 4 days. Unfortunately we haven’t been able to have parents onsite but at least the new 2021 the boys and girls have met Mrs Beuman their teacher and have had some time with their new friends. On their next visit they will have an opportunity to meet their buddies, walk around the school and experience working in their classroom.
Confirmation
On Friday evening some of our Year 6 students will be receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation. This Sacrament completes the sacraments of initiation, Baptism, Reconciliation and Holy Communion.
During Confirmation, the focus is on the Holy Spirit, who confirmed the apostles on Pentecost and gave them courage to practice their faith. Catholics believe that the same Holy Spirit confirms Catholics during the Sacrament of Confirmation and gives them the same gifts.
Special thanks to Mr Sam Mattas and Mrs Popovski for their work in preparing the Yr 6 students. Mr Mattas has worked in collaboration with Sister Miriam and Father Mark in organising the sacramental program this year. Thank You!
Swimming
Tomorrow starts our four week swimming lessons. A very special thanks to Mrs Pulbrook for organising and planning another significant event for our school.
Best Wishes
Mrs Anne Duggan - Principal
