Diocesan Sports Trials
We wish the best of luck to Tahlia Spinelli, Ella Sammut, Emma Usljebrka and Madeleine Mineeff who have qualified to try out for a Wollongong Diocese Girls Football team. We also wish Maya Rizovska the best of luck who will be trialling for a place in the Wollongong Diocese Netball team. These tryouts will be held March 5.
Congratulations
Congratulations Taylah Curtis. Taylah after representing Wollongong Diocese has now been selected to play in the MacKillop Basketball Team to attend the NSW PSSA Girls Basketball Championships in June in Sydney.
We also acknowledge Liana Meta’s excellent efforts at the MacKillop tennis trials.
South Coast Swimming Carnival
17 delightful students represented our school at the South Coast Swimming Carnival on March 2 at the Corrimal Pool. They all happily supported and cheered for one another as they did their best, focusing on what they could achieve and not on what they could not. Congratulations to all for their excellent efforts and cooperation.
The stand out performances came from the Junior and Senior Girls Relay Teams. The juniors (Paige, Sophia, Makayla & Delilah) won their heat and came third overall. While the seniors (Taylah, Ella M, Maya and Charli) who also won their heat, came 4th overall. Both of these relay teams qualify for the Wollongong Diocese trials March 8. Congratulations to these girls and best of luck at the next level.
