PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

images.jpg

Creator God, you make all things and weave them together in an intricate tapestry of life. Teach us to respect life’s fragile balance and to care for all the gifts of your creation. Guide by your wisdom those who have power and authority, that by the decisions they make, life may be protected and cherished and the earth remain fruitful. Author uncertain.

Dear Parents

As this is Laudato Si Week we are reminded of the wonderful work of creation. I see it everyday at our school in the smiling faces of our boys and girls and the wonderful staff we have here at St Patrick’s.

At St Patrick’s we have the extra space which we call our living Classroom – a place where God’s creation is apparent.

Reconciliation  Week

National Reconciliation Week 2021: More than a word Reconciliation takes action. We all have a role to play when it comes to reconciliation - as individuals, families, communities, organisations, and importantly as a nation. This Reconciliation Week, our community reflects on how to take more meaningful action.

A special thank you to Ms Phillips who led a beautiful Liturgy with representatives from all the classes.

Uniform

I have noticed that some children are coming to school not wearing a tie. As we are now in full winter uniform ( except for sport days) the tie is part of that uniform. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

200 Years of Catholic Education Mass

On Monday 24 May, our Vice captains, Abbie  and Lukas  accompanied Mr Mattas to the Fairy Meadow Co-Cathedral to celebrate a Mass recogning  200 Years of Catholic Education in Australia.  38 schools, both Primary and Secondary were represented by staff and student leaders from across  the Diocese of Wollongong. Mass was con-celebrated by Bishop Brian Mascord.  Each school was gifted with a book that outlines the history of each school in our Diocese. This book is available to read in the school foyer.

Good health and best wishes for the next fortnight.

Mrs Anne Duggan - Principal
