Baseball5 is a new and exciting 5 a side, 5 innings street version of baseball. Baseball5 requires no special equipment, just a ball. Not only is it a great sport to play anytime and anywhere, it is also a great introduction to the game of Baseball. Baseball5 is also going to be included in the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games to be held in Dakar, Senegal in 2026.
Wollongong Cardinals Junior Baseball club is running some “come and try” Baseball5 days every Sunday from 10am to 12 noon throughout August 2022 at Collegians Tennis and Squash Club, The Avenue, Figtree. The events are open to all children of all ages, teams are actively encouraged to include boys and girls on the same team.

There will be lots of great free events for all the family to attend across our LGA – I am involved with some of our fabulous Paint the GONG REaD team in the Cringila Hills event which will be an awesome day with something for everyone.
ALL EVENTS ACROSS THE LGA are free – one in Helensburgh as well.

As the world’s best cyclists compete right here in the UCI Road World Championships, we’re rolling out the fun with Spin Fest – a free, all ages community celebration. Proudly produced by Wollongong City Council, the creative program has something for everyone, from BMX to beach parties.
