PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Let us pray for Queen Elizabeth and her exceptional reign,
her deep affection for her people,
her lifelong desire to serve the common good,
her humility and grace, hard work and dedication,
we thank You, Living Lord.
Be with the King and members of the Royal Family
as they mourn the loss of a mother and grandmother
as well as a friend and monarch
in the royal palaces, crown them with Your loving-kindness.
Be with our national leaders
at this time of uncertainty and change
in the corridors of power, crown them with Your heavenly wisdom.
Be with her people in nation and Commonwealth as they mourn a monarch and peace-maker
and rejoice in the cultural diversity celebrated under her reign
in the four corners of her realm, crown us with peace and goodwill.
Be with the hidden folk throughout the world
who are struggling to make peace, longing for healing,
grieving the loss of someone they love
in pain and grief, crown the nations of the earth with the light of Your love.
We remember with thanksgiving
the life of Elizabeth, Your servant and our Queen,
that she may rest from her labours
and rejoice in the One whom she worshipped
as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Dear Parents
I can’t believe how quickly another term has gone by! It has been wonderful to have had more opportunities to welcome you back into the school and we look forward to many more exciting events next term.
In the first two weeks of Term 4 I will be taking some long service leave. During this time Mr Gavan Hoctor will be stepping up to the role of Acting Principal. I know that the school will continue to thrive in his very capable hands during my absence.
On Wednesday night we had more students receive the sacrament of Confirmation at Immaculate Conception Church, Unanderra. We continue to hold them and all the children receiving the sacrament of Confirmation this year in our prayers.
As we continue to live with COVID I have had a few questions in relation to keeping your children home when sick. As a general rule if your child is unwell we want them to stay home. This allows them to recover and prevents the spread of germs among our school community. There are no current restrictions that state your child must be symptom free to attend school, therefore if they are well enough to attend school you can send them. If they have cold and flu symptoms we would appreciate you testing them prior to sending them to school. If your family requires RAT kits please contact the office. If in doubt, I would suggest consulting with your family doctor.

Our next P&F meeting has been changed from Tuesday 18 October to Wednesday 26 October. Our current P&F do such an amazing job, particularly in the area of fundraising for the school. We would love to see some new faces at the next meeting, so please come along, even if this is your first time.
