NSW Police would like to advise the school community of the increased possession of gel guns by young people in NSW. These guns are illegal in NSW and are considered to be firearms.

If a student is found to have a gel gun they can be arrested and charged for possession of a firearm (under Section 36 (1) of the NSW Firearms Act 1996).
