POSITIVE BEHAVIOURS FOR LEARNING (PB4L)

Our PB4L/SEL (Social & Emotional Learning) focus for the Week 3 of Term 4 will be based on Self-awareness with the Focus being:

Asking for Help

In the explicit teaching lessons, the expected behaviours taught will be:

1. Look at the person.

2. Ask the person if he or she has time to help you.

3. Clearly explain the kind of help that you need.

4. Thank the person for helping.

Our PB4L/SEL (Social & Emotional Learning) focus for the Week 4 of Term 4 will be based Relationship skills with the Focus being:

Sharing with others
In the explicit teaching lessons the expected behaviours taught will be:
1. Let the person use the item first.
2. Ask if you can use it later
3. When you get to use it, offer it back to the other person after you have used it.

We would very much appreciate your discussing these weekly PB4L/SEL focuses with your children and reviewing the expected and non-acceptable behaviours in our endeavour to see that St Patrick’s is a more respectful, responsible and safe learning community for all.

It is with pride that I inform you that over the last two weeks 25 students were given Citizenship, Merit, Library or Uniform Awards or Playground Affirmation Awards. There were only 2 incidents of inappropriate behavior recorded. Thank your girls and boys. Please continue to act respectfully, responsibly, and safely.
