A Prayer For Rain
Heavenly Father, our need is simple - rain for our thirsty land - and only you, and you alone can fulfil that need. Our tanks and dams are nearly empty, like our hopes for this season.
Please, loving God, bring us rain to renew the ground, to replenish our dams, to bring some chance of feed, to bring the possibility of some reward to those who have toiled so hard. We turn to you in faith and hope.
We pray for the community. We pray for all those whose lives are under the shadow of drought. We think of those who work with the land, for farmers and their families, for those who rely upon the land for their life and relationships.
We offer all these prayers in the name of Jesus.
Amen
Dear Parents
Thank you to the Parish last weekend for hosting High Tea in the hall. The school had a table and we enjoyed good company and great delicacies.

Congratulations to Mikaela Markovski in Year 6 who accepted her sport medallion at St Mary’s in Wollongong last Friday night. Both Mrs Pulbrook and I attended the function and were very proud of Mikaela’ s achievements across many sports this year.
Kinder 2020
Today we had our last get together with our next year’s Kindergartens. They have met their buddies and friends in this year’s Kindergarten. We welcomed into our St Patrick’s community during a special liturgy in the church. Thank you to Mr Mattas for preparing such a beautiful event.
Congratulations to the Carolan family who yesterday welcomed a new baby brother. We wish the family God’s blessing.
Good health and best wishes for a great fortnight

Staff Spirituality Day
On Monday November 18th the St Patrick’s staff had our annual ‘Staff Spirituality Day’. This year the focus was on completing the final module of the ‘Educating with a Mission Lens’ program, module 6. The focus for this particular module included a need to:
- Express a deeper understanding of culture with particular reference to Catholic identity
- Explain the impact on culture of behaviours, decisions and language
- Identify Key Mission Behaviours and gently examine how they are reflected in our actions, decisions and language.
It was a fantastic day and the staff were actively engaged throughout. Please remember to keep an eye out for those people in our community who are being ‘Mission Stars’, and nominate them for the ‘Mission Star of the Month’ award.
First Holy Communion
A friendly reminder that many of our Year 3 students are receiving the sacrament of Holy Communion on Sunday November 24th at 11am and all families and friends are welcome to attend. The girls and boys have reconciliation and a rehearsal on Thursday of this week, the 21st, at 6:30pm. Parents/guardians need to be in attendance on Thursday evening.
Kind Regards,
Mr Sam Mattas

23rd Annual CDF Sports Awards
Congratulations to Mikaela Markovski on being awarded a Wollongong Diocese Sports Council Medallion. Mikaela represented the Wollongong Diocese at the MacKillop level in two teams. She also demonstrated that she embraced the ethos of the School and Diocesan teams by participating at her best, behaving respectfully and competing with good sportsmanship. Mikaela excelled in the sports of Athletics and Touch. Well done Mikaela.
