Dear Parents
I can’t believe how fast a term goes! We have had a wonderful first term together with lots to celebrate! Thank you for continuing to partner with us through your child's learning. We certainly feel privileged to journey with you. I hope you all have a joyful and safe Easter and we look forward to seeing you all next term.
The first day for students is Wednesday 26 April.
Kindergarten 2024
We will begin interviews for Kindergarten 2024 early next term. Families can book a tour at any time and pick up an enrolment form from the office.
Canteen
I wanted to acknowledge and thank all the parents and grandparents who have been able to assist in the canteen this term, send in food donations and/or a small cash donation to buy supplies. The Canteen so far this year has raised over $1000 thanks to your generosity! Special thanks to Kelly Pucillo for her coordination of the Canteen.

When giving your child money to spend at the Canteen can we ask you to remind them that they cannot buy items for their friends.
End of Term Assembly
Please join us at our End of Term Assembly where some students will receive Excellence Awards, Principal, Shamrock and St Patrick’s Awards. Excellence Awards are given in the areas of faith, literacy, numeracy and behaviour. Principal Awards are achieved by receiving 5, 10, 20 or 25 merit and/or citizenship awards. Shamrock Awards are achieved by receiving 15 merit and/or citizenship awards. St Patrick Awards are achieved by receiving 30 merit and/or citizenship awards.
The following students will be receiving an award. If you believe your child should be included on this list, please notify the office by Monday.

If your child is receiving an excellence award, you would have been notified by email this week. Please remember to keep this as a surprise for your child!
Students may be signed out at the end of the assembly. To make this process as smooth as possible we ask that you complete this form by Wednesday if you wish to take your child home early on this day. Please click the link.
Thank You Teachers
Class Assemblies
After a few years or COVID restrictions we are pleased to announce that we will be host class assemblies again this year. Each class will host one assembly that will showcase the wonderful learning the students have been engaged in. Parents and family members are invited to all class assemblies in the Parish Hall.
Pupil Free Days
Staff Development Days / Pupil Free Days are held throughout the year and students do not attend school on these days.
These will occur on the following dates for 2023:

Congratulations to the following families on the birth of their daughters, we are so excited for you all:
The Carolan family welcomed a beautiful baby girl on 16 March. She is baby number 8 for the Carolan family balancing the scales with 4 boys and 4 girls.

The Woods family also welcomed a beautiful baby girl on 25 March. She is baby number 7 and is the 4th girl.

Environment Matters
Last Friday three of our students attended the Caring for Our Common Home - Primary Student WEN Day. Kimora, Joey and MIla shared a fantastic iMovie created by our Environment Leaders - Delilah and Ari and shared all the wonderful ways we care for our environment at St Patrick’s. A big thank you to these students who did an amazing job on and leading up to the day.

POSITIVE BEHAVIOURS FOR LEARNING
Our PB4L focus for Week 11 of this Term and Week 1 of next Term is
celebrating Easter

It is with pride that I inform you that over the last two weeks 47 students
were given Citizenship, Merit, Library or Uniform Awards or Playground
Affirmation Awards whilst there were 10 incidents of Inappropriate behaviour
recorded.
Please strive to act respectfully, responsibly, and safely girls and boys.

First Reconciliation
Congratulations to Meila Kusa, Jacob Timbs, Lucia Sharpe and Harrison Sharpe who recently received the Sacrament of First Reconciliation in our Parish with Fr Mark. We wish them all the blessings of the Holy Spirit and look forward to them receiving the Sacrament of First Holy Communion in due course.
Holy Week – Stations of the Cross
We are celebrating Holy Week this year with students in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 representing the Stations of the Cross, and with students in Years 1 & 2 presenting a liturgical movement. These will take place during Week 11 in the Parish Church. All family and community members are welcome to attend.
