Dear Parent/Carer
What a Wonderful Week it has been full of Book Week cheer. Thank you for your effort in organising the Book Week costumes with and for your children. They have looked wonderful and the children have proudly paraded through each class each morning. It has indeed been an exciting way to start each day. There are lot and lots of photos of the children dressed in their Book Week Costumes uploaded on the school Facebook Page for you to view.
Thank you to Mrs Bowater who has been involved from afar for sending in videos of her book readings for the children to enjoy.
Thank you also to our wonderful Mrs Carey and Mrs Plataniotis who have been responsible for all of the behind the scenes work leading up to and throughout this week to ensure this Book Week has been the extraordinary success that it has. Hip hip hooray!

On Tuesday Morning we pray the Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi. On Wednesday morning we pray the Prayer of St Patrick. On Thursday Morning we pray to St Mary of the Cross MacKillop and on Friday we pray for Mother Margherita (The Foundress of the Franciscan Sisters of the Heart Of Jesus).
These are included for you below:

Catholic Mission Fundraiser – Art Sale!
The Mini Vinnies team will be raising money for Catholic Mission next week by selling artworks from our wonderful student artists at St Patrick’s! Early in the year students from every class produced an artwork that was intended to be sold at the school fete, however the fete was cancelled, so we will be selling these art works to raise money for those in need.
- What for: We are raising money for children with disabilities in Cambodia – all money raised goes to the Arrupe Centre in Cambodia, which helps to empower children with disabilities
- How much: $2 per student artwork, or $5 for families with 3 or more children
- When: artworks will be sent home at the end of Week 3
- How: an envelope will be given to your child, please return it with the correct money and your child’s or children’s name and the great artworks will be yours
Many thanks for your support!
September Mission Star!
A big congratulations to the September Mission Star Award recipient, our resident Vice Captain Chase Austin. We are very excited in having Chase as the mission star winner, because he is the first male recipient of the award all year. It’s also great to have one of the school leaders being role models for all the students at St Patrick’s. Well done Chase!
The Mission Star Award is especially unique and special as nominations come from all members of the school community, not just teachers.

St Patrick’s is proud to be promoting Nude Food again this Term.
Nude Food is simply food that is not wrapped in foil, plastic or commercial packaging. The best type of Nude Food consists mainly of fresh food, so that it is healthy and nutritious PLUS environmentally friendly.
Promoting Nude Food empowers students to make conscious choices about what they eat, and encourages them to think about their impact on the environment.
Nude Food Tips:
- Cutlery from home is better than throwaway plastic ones
- Reusable drink bottles
- Reusable containers for putting all of your food, snacks and drinks into
You can visit https://www.nudefoodday.com.au/resources/ for Nude Food recipe ideas.
