Dear Parents
I hope you are all well. Some of you may be wondering why I haven’t been at school over the last few days. I fell backwards over a concrete car barrier and broke my wrist and a bone in my leg. All is healing well!
Kindergarten 2021
The term has started well with the school being able to have a scaled back playgroup over 4 days. Unfortunately we haven’t been able to have parents onsite but at least the new 2021 the boys and girls have met Mrs Beuman their teacher and have had some time with their new friends. On their next visit they will have an opportunity to meet their buddies, walk around the school and experience working in their classroom.
Confirmation
On Friday evening some of our Year 6 students will be receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation. This Sacrament completes the sacraments of initiation, Baptism, Reconciliation and Holy Communion.
During Confirmation, the focus is on the Holy Spirit, who confirmed the apostles on Pentecost and gave them courage to practice their faith. Catholics believe that the same Holy Spirit confirms Catholics during the Sacrament of Confirmation and gives them the same gifts.
Special thanks to Mr Sam Mattas and Mrs Popovski for their work in preparing the Yr 6 students. Mr Mattas has worked in collaboration with Sister Miriam and Father Mark in organising the sacramental program this year. Thank You!
Swimming
Tomorrow starts our four week swimming lessons. A very special thanks to Mrs Pulbrook for organising and planning another significant event for our school.
Best Wishes
Mrs Anne Duggan - Principal

MONSTER RAFFLE EXTRAVAGANZA – Coming VERY VERY SOON to a school and parish near you!!!!
Our Monster Raffle Extravaganza will be launched next week. Keep your eyes peeled for the information that will explain all that you’ll need to know.
In the last newsletter I asked if you could guess how many prizes there will be. Well the answer is more than 120 prizes can be won in the raffle.
I bet that whets your appetite.

Thankyou! Catholic Mission Fundraiser
Once again, a massive thank you to all of the families who purchased their child’s artwork to help us raise money for the Arrupe Centre in Cambodia, via Catholic Mission. We raised an amazing $338, all of which will go to empowering children and young people with disabilities.
Thanks again!
Confirmation
Many of our Year 6 students will be receiving the sacrament of Confirmation this Friday evening in the Parish church at 7:30pm. This is a hugely significant event in the lives of these children, and I am certainly looking forward to joining them in the celebration.
Unfortunately due to COVID restrictions only family members can be invited to attend, so as a result an invitation cannot be extended to the wider community.
Good luck girls and boys!
Kind Regards,
Mr Sam Mattas

We are well into borrowing for Term 4 and the children are enjoying reading our Library Books. Unfortunately we have noticed that many children are not bringing their library bags. Wednesday - Yr 2 and Yr 6
Thursday - Yr 3 and Yr 5

Christmas in the Library
We are getting very excited and preparing for Christmas in the Library. The decorations are up and the children are hearing some great Christmas stories when they visit the Library. Our Library will again serve as a Post Office for Santa Letters and we will let the children know when we receive the paperwork from the North Pole so they can start writing their letters.
Wishing all the children wo are celebrating or who have recently celebrated birthdays all the very best wishes on their special day.
