Dear Parents
Gracious God , bless fathers and all father figures with such love and faithfulness that children flourish and grow in uprightness and joy. Bless those who long to be fathers and for those whom find this day difficult.
Strengthen all dads by your love that they may become the loving caring persons they are meant to be,
Please remember also Lord those special fathers in our lives who have gone before us but live in our memories each day.
Grant this through Christ Our Lord
Amen
Assembly
I hope you enjoyed our first assembly and the introduction again of awards. Please check your child/ren’s Seesaw and Google Classroom to see who received this week’s awards.
Term 4
I hope that you, your families, and communities are all keeping safe and well. By now all families would have heard the news from the NSW Government and Catholic Education, Diocese of Wollongong that schools will be returning to face to face learning from Kinder to Yr 12 in Term 4.
St Patrick’s has a strong community spirit and I think this is an important step in moving forward. We hope we are maintaining a personal connection with all our families through the phone calls made by all members of staff. I look forward to the day we can all be together.
COVID 19
Some of you are probably aware of an outbreak of COVID 19 at a nearby school. I have included the media release that was sent out by the Catholic Education Office today.
Thank you once again everyone for your support and commitment to remote learning. Once again, I am appreciative of those families who notify me of their work status and therefore must send their children to school. Please continue to do so, I urge you to consider the situation at hand and as much as possible are able to keep your child/ren at home.
Take care everyone!
Mrs Anne Duggan - Principal

World Day of Prayer for Care of Creation
A significant day in the liturgical calendar is the World Day of Prayer for Care of Creation, which takes place each year on the first day of spring. This year, St Patrick’s celebrated the day with the primary classes participating in a virtual liturgy, and the infant classes learning about the day through an episode of ‘Creation Corner’. Both of these wonderful virtual resources were created by members of the Catholic Education Office.
You can access the liturgy here, and you can access with ‘Creation Corner ‘ episode here.
Now more than ever we need to be stewards of creation and teach the children in our care the importance of conservation and ecological conversion.

FATHER'S DAY ACTIVITIES DURING LOCKDOWN
This year, Father’s Day will be celebrated on Sunday 5 September. The day is dedicated to recognise the immense contribution of fathers, grandfathers and father figures in raising children.
This year, we have to celebrate the day at home due to the lockdown.
So, to make your Father’s Day special, you can check these fun and safe activities that your Dad will love:
- Cooking together: When it’s cooking together then the bond and the taste is better. So rather than baking for your dad; plan a cook with him of his choice of food to make the day even more special. You both can look up a simple recipe. Have fun while cooking and also share small secrets in the process. Once the food is ready, enjoy the meal.
- Family game night: Grab those board games from the cupboard or have a Handball tournament outside and involve the whole family in it.
- Movie marathon: A day before Father’s Day, try and get a few names of your dad’s favourite movies; be it comedy, mystery, action or family drama, watch it with him. Don’t forget to grab some snacks to complete the day.
- Cake and Gifts Delivery: A surprise cake or gift is surely going to make him teary eyed. So, take this opportunity and make him smile.
- Present a Hand-made Gift: If you find it confusing to buy any gift online, then learn a little DIY and surprise your dad with a hand-made gift on Father's Day. This DIY process will open a door of great opportunities! Make something like a scrapbook, a card or do a chore to help him out. He will love the gift more because of your creativity and that you made it for him.
